History
The beginning of Sovam
1930 : André Morin’s firm was born from a coachbuilder’s workshop ( body shop) created by Morin’s father.
1960
: The company based in Châtillon sur Thouet near to Parthenay manages around 30 persons and undertakes to manufacture shop trucks.
1962 : The company ,under the trademark ETALMOBIL, created very new vehicles destinated to the sale on fairs and markets. Those vehicles are equipped with a modern installation in order to look like real travelling shop.
1975 : The department SOVAM-AIR is created. It’s an association of airport equipment companies which goal is to open the Middle East and African market.
1978 : In July, Sovam obtains the help of the research state secretary which will assure the industrial development of the AEROBUS. After one year of intensive tests on the airport of Roissy CDG, the AEROBUS/ SHUTTLE LIFT obtains a great success during the Paris International Aeronautic Fair. The same year, following orders from Paris Airports and from Middle East a pre-production of 15 vehicles is launched.

1992 - 1993 : First time in the world: The first mobile apron-drive glazed side bridge of the world is running in France in the airport of Nice Côte d’Azur.

1997 : SOVAM joins Siraga’s Group.
2000 : Increase of the manufacturing capacities thanks to the acquisition of a production unit on the site of Chauvigny near Poitiers.
2005 : Partnership agreements firmed with CIMC-TIANDA – Shenzhen- first Asiatic manufacturer of telescopic bridges.
2006 : Inauguration in Roissy airport of the first airport passenger bridge in collaboration with Chinese for the new airbus A380.
